For most people, Halloween comes once a year in October; however, if you’re Jewish, you have another chance to dress up! Purim is a Jewish Holiday dedicated to celebrate the heroism of Queen Esther, who stopped the King’s advisor Haman from killing all the Jews in the land of Shushan. It’s a very fun and silly holiday that is celebrated by dressing up, telling jokes, and eating delicious cookies called hamantaschens.

My temple celebrates by hosting a carnival, which I was in charge of running this year. The holiday is really fun and great for sharing a laugh with the family.

Sarah and I decided to dress up as fortune tellers! The kimonos and headwraps are from a store called choies that I found online, and even though they had great prices, the shipping took FOREVER. I would not recommend.
